There are even times when we know, deep down, that something in front of us is actually what we desire most and yet, we simply walk away. I believe that people shuffle in and out of our lives to teach us things, wether it's good or bad, they give us lessons and we grow into the person that we are meant to be. Some people are put in our life to stay though, and those are the ones that you have to keep an eye on because you won't usually realize this (that they were meant to stay) until it is, for lack of better expressions, too late.
But what should we do then when one of these essential people go, when they leave or when you kick them out? Is it the expected thing to be fine with it and 'move on', maybe tell yourself repeatedly that they are replaceable? Or should we go after them? Should we find them and show them why they must return, why they must stay?
Just writing this now the word "timing" comes to mind. That little monster that, of course, is never on your side.
Timing, "the process or art of regulating actions or remarks in relation to others to produce the
best effect, as in music, the theatre, sport, etc". Timing, the one thing that is out of our control, out of our hands. It literally does whatever it's heart desires.
So, knowing that timing is probably, and usually, never on our side should we still follow through on what we know we want, what we need? Should we still try and find that person and try again? Should we? I mean, timing is usually never on our side, but what about when it is? What if every time that it did us dirty it was just so that we could reach this moment in time when we have perspective, when we actually see the big picture? When we finally accept what need, desire and deserve.
